Our third Autumn Show was held on Sunday 8th September 2024 and was a fabulous event for our allotments. The weather gods were kind and a spell of bright weather in the afternoon meant those who attended could enjoy refreshments in the orchard after going to view the show.
30 members took part and over 130 exhibits were displayed. Thank you to all who entered, we hope you had fun. Thanks also go to our very own RHS judge, Mr Brian Ruskin.
This year we were happy to welcome the Mayor of Hertford, Rachel Carter, to the allotments and she kindly presented the medals and trophy to the winners.
The Banksian Medal for most points awarded went to Geoff Curson
The National Vegetable Society Medal for the best Vegetable exhibit also went to Geoff for his courgette exhibit.
Finally, the Autumn Show Trophy for the best exhibit in the whole show went to Heather and John Hepworth Bell for their beautiful Blenheim Orange Apples.
